Motherhood Made Easy Doulas Providing Postpartum Care
What is a Doula?
The word "doula" comes from the ancient Greek meaning "a woman who serves." There are two types of doulas - birth and postpartum. Motherhood Made Easy provides postpartum care by women trained to give in-home care to mothers with newborns. The doula's focus is to provide education and emotional support to the family in the first weeks at home. While a postpartum doula specializes in newborn care, her ultimate goal is not just to care for the baby, but to nurture the new mother and help her to mother her baby more effectively.
